Pitching Clinics are open to players registered for GrantCBS teams 8U and higher. We are limiting this opportunity to 20 pitchers per clinic date. 

Clinics will take place at Grant Community High School gym from 1:00-2:30 on Sundays 4/6, 4/13, and 4/27. Each clinic will be $25.  If you participate in all three clinics, it will be $75. 

Every pitcher MUST have someone to catch for them. Feel free to bring a bucket to sit on or a piece of foam to kneel on. If the player does not have someone to catch for them, they will not be able to participate.

The clinics are run by Anna Centella. Anna is a softball athlete and coach. She played softball throughout high school and college. She is in the hall of fame at Grayslake Central High School. 

As a Division III college pitcher at Aurora University, she earned the following: 

- AU Female Athlete of the Year (2009, 2010)  

- All conference (2007-2010)

- MVP (2009, 2010)

- NAC Softball Pitcher of the Year (2009, 2010)

- NAC Player of the Year (2010)

- NAC All-Conference (2008, 2009, 2010)

- NFCA All-Region (2008, 2009, 2010)

- NAC All-Freshman Team (2007)

- NCAA Regional All-Tournament Team (2008, 2010)

At Aurora University, Anna holds the record for the following (2007-2010): 

- Career earned run average (less than 100 IP) = 79/16 

- Career strikeouts = 816 

- Games started in a season = 32

- Games started in a career = 85

- Complete games in a career = 63

- Innings pitched in a season = 217.2

- Innings pitched in a career = 529.1

Following her playing career, Anna transitioned into coaching, where she spent six years shaping young athletes at the varsity level. After coaching, she embraced her next chapter as a wife and mother of two.

Players needed at tee ball, 6U tee ball softball, 8U softball, and Pinto (ages 7-8) baseball. 

GrantCBS offers tee ball starting at 4 years old, baseball, and softball teams. 

We also offer baseball N60 teams and softball all-star teams for recreational players wanting that next level. To be on the N60 or all-star teams, players must play on a GrantCBS rec team. Watch the website, Facebook, and email for more information on tryouts. 

Softball draft will be on Sunday 3/9 for coaches only.

Baseball draft will be on Monday 3/31 for coaches only. 

Softball practices and baseball clinics with be Sundays in March.

Practices start in April. Weekday practices start around 6:00pm. 

Games start the week of 4/28. Games happen during weekdays at 6:00pm and weekends starting at 9:00am.
